Quercus macrocarpa
The Bur Oak may be a slow grower, but it has a longevity of 200-300 years that offers future generations plenty of dense shade. Its fringed-cap acorns are a food source for many small animals including wood ducks, wild turkeys, deer, squirrels, and rabbits.
