Malus domestica ‘Wolf River’
This is an heirloom variety which originated from Wolf River, Wisconsin in the 1870s. Fruit has a red to green peel. Very versatile, fruit becomes sweeter the longer it’s left on the tree. Produces fruit in 5-7 years. Ready for harvest in mid-October. Self-fertile, but does better with a pollinator.
