Euonymus americana
Strawberry Bush is a low-maintenance shrub with green leaves in the spring/summer that turn to red/red orange in the fall. Stems can be green or purple in winter depending on the amount of sunlight they receive. Although not showy, the small green flowers give way to sensational red fall fruit that splits open to reveal orange berries that birds enjoy.
- Foliage is loved by deer and rabbits
- Works well in naturalized gardens, informal hedge, or as a specimen plant
- Tiny, pale green flowers in spring
